The ICT Department has developed the 'GRP' (Govt. Resource Planning) application to ensure the best use of government resources with the help of technology. This application is already being used in 50 government departments. Through using GRP against international ERP, the government has saved Tk 4,950 crore in the last five years. And since the solution was invented by the ICT department, no licensing cost was required. The implementation cost has saved Tk 44 crore.In the next 10 years, the ICT department expects to save taka 30,000 crore in GRP by implementing this in 300 more offices.E-Document, E-GP, PMIS, ABAS Plus Plus integration facility is available through BNDA e-service bus with GRP software to ensure inter-ministerial coordination.Meeting and event, asset, HRM and project management as well as inventory, procurement, accounts, budget and audit can be done through 9 modules of this software.This information was presented at an exchange meeting between State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid Bipu and the ICT Department for digitization activities of the Energy and Mineral Resources Department.State Minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak chaired the meeting on Wednesday.Among others, NM Zeaul Alam, Secretary of ICT Department, Perth Pratim Dev, Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council, Director of National Data Architecture Tareq M Barkatullah and others were present in the program.
